Roundpenning is a great exercise for you and your horse. It is the safest way for you to intially build a relationship with your horse. It helps you get control of your horses feet and gain respect without being attached to your horse. When you lead a horse with a lead line you are closer to the horse and have higher risk of being kicked, bitten or run over. The farther from the horse the less chance of you getting hurt.
